African Americans of Asian related interests. This includes cosplay, egl, anime, manga, conventions, jrock, Asian culture, etc. We're gamers, we're punk, we're goth and whatever in between. The goal is to unite fellow African Americans with similar interests in a community that won't label them the "odd ball" or anything like that. If interested, you can check it out at

  1. Putting aside any racial biases, which set of eyes are you most drawn to? and why?

  2. Which set of eyes do you like the least and why?

  3. If you could change each set of eyes to make them more appealing or interesting, what changes would you make? This can also include changes in eye color, style/cut of eyebrows, eyelashes and so forth.

  4. In your opinion, would a change in skin color enhance or take away the attractive effect of any of these sets of eyes? What about in general? Not at all? or what about in regards to other facial features?

Holy crap! I was looking up Gothic Lolita here on LJ and I found this! Rawr!!! coolio didn't know there were people who are black or half-black that were like me! Yay happiness!! :D

I should introduce myself?

My name is Michelle...But I go by Saku-chan ^^ I'm half-black and half-filipino ^^ I live in gay ass Florida and go to an EXTREMELY ghetto school were there's nothing but idiots going around going "WEIRDO!" if you act or dress a certain way ^^

Let's see...I should tell you all about myself.

I don't necisaarily (Whoa I know that wasn't spelt right! But with a fever right now who cares--;;) dress in a "gothic" style. Because really what IS gothic? It's a religion yes. But what is it here in America? When people ask you if your gothic they automatically assume your into death and want to kill yourself. Which is NOT the case with me. I've been labeled MANY things to from preppy (I almost murdered the girl who called me that) to emo and to now goth.

Anywayz! I live with both my mother and my father with my younger borhter older sister baby niece and my grandmother :)...I DON'T get along with my parents mainly because they INSIST on calling me a SELLOUT because of my different likes and opinions about things. So Yeah!

But apart from that I'm living ok.

Question. Does anyone here like JRock?? (i.e Japanese Rock???) And if so who is your faveorite band or artisit? I'd be glad to post some up for people to sample ^^ even if you can't understand what they're saying the music is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much than American music X)

Hello all, I am Bree. I live in Los Angeles area. I am biracial: black and white. I am 17 and a senior in high school. I recently found this journal and was amazed that I'm not the only one that feels displaced by surrounding society and culture. Being a goth labels you weird, but a black goth is unmentionable. I've been on the scene for a few years and it seems that if you have a bit of color to your skin and are dressed in Victorian clothes, you are more of a freak than the actual freaks.

I hope to get to know you all and hope to relate.

What does everyone do with her hair? I chopped my 7-year dreadlocks off in January and have just been letting it grow and kind of do what it wants. For everyday I keep it covered, but I'm thinking knots might be a good style for going out dressed up.
